Listen to Koven's drum & bass remix of Above & Beyond’s “Carry Me Home”
Already a fan favorite, Above & Beyond and longtime collaborator Zoë Johnston’s “Carry Me Home” takes on a new identity as Koven reworks the original into a soaring drum & bass anthem, out now on Anjunabeats.
Originally released as the second single from Above & Beyond’s critically acclaimed album ‘Bigger Than All Of Us,’ “Carry Me Home” quickly became a standout moment in the trio’s catalog - a soaring, emotionally resonant track anchored by Zoë Johnston’s unmistakable vocals. Now, Koven reimagine the record through a cinematic drum & bass lens, transforming its euphoric core into a fast-paced, high-energy anthem built for the dancefloor.
Comprising producer Max Rowat and vocalist Katie Boyle, Koven have carved out a unique space in electronic music with their fusion of live vocals, immersive storytelling, and explosive production. Their 2025 album ‘Moments in Everglow’ marked a major milestone, earning support from BBC Radio 1 and MTV, while recent singles “The High We Seek” and “Orbit” were both named Hottest Record on Radio 1 by Jack Saunders. The duo also delivered their first Essential Mix, further cementing their status as one of the most exciting acts in drum & bass.
“Being able to remix a track from the absolute legends Above & Beyond is such an honor for us,” say Koven. “They were the first huge-name DJs we heard play one of our tracks, when we saw them play our collab with Ilan Bluestone at the O2 back in 2018. So this feels like a real bucket list moment. Zoe’s performance on this track is stunning, and we’re so pleased with how our styles came together.”
This marks the second official remix of “Carry Me Home,” a track that has continued to grow since its release. The song sees Above & Beyond reunite with Zoë Johnston, a defining voice in the band’s history since their 2004 classic “No One On Earth.”
“We’ve been working with Zoë for over 20 years now - she’s part of the band,” Above & Beyond explain. “A song with her vocals is always something special for our audience.”
Across Above & Beyond’s 130,000-ticket North American amphitheater and club tour, followed by a 13-date UK and European run, “Carry Me Home” emerged as a clear fan favorite. Its euphoric chorus sparked mass sing-alongs night after night, from London to San Diego, cementing its place as one of the defining tracks of the ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’ era.
The momentum continues into 2026, with Above & Beyond fresh off a run of shows in Australia, headline appearances at Anjunadeep Open Air South Africa, and gearing up for a special sunrise set at EDC Las Vegas on May 16.
With Koven’s remix, “Carry Me Home” takes on a new life - faster, heavier, and primed for late-night dancefloors, while retaining the emotional depth that has made it resonate so deeply with fans worldwide.
Above & Beyond - “Carry Me Home (Koven Remix)” is available now to purchase on Beatport and the Anjuna Music Store, and is streaming worldwide on all platforms via Anjunabeats.
