Listen to Paradogmata’s New Single “Kråkevisa (Bløtkakeversjon)” Featuring Sareeta

Originally formed in Trondheim in 2018, Paradogmata have gradually expanded their sound beyond their melodic thrash beginnings by incorporating black, death, doom and progressive influences. Following the arrival of guitarist Øystein Iversen and drummer Kim Sætre in 2025, the band have entered a new chapter, with “Kråkevisa (Bløtkakeversjon)” serving as the first release from the current line-up.

Based on the traditional Norwegian folk song, “Kråkevisa” transforms the well-known melody into a fast-paced blackened metal interpretation. This version features guest musician Ingvild "Sareeta" Strønen Johannesen (Ram-Zet, ex-Funeral) on Hardanger fiddle and violin, while backing folk vocals add another layer to the arrangement. The band have already performed the song live several times during 2026, where it received a strong response from audiences.

The single also introduces the next phase of Paradogmata's plans. An EP titled Necrosian Tastings will follow later in July as a preview of the upcoming album Necrosian Litanies, scheduled for release in early 2027. Besides new material, the EP will include two additional versions of “Kråkevisa”: a darker “Kneipp” version without folk instrumentation or backing vocals, and a “Folkesang” version where the Hardanger fiddle and folk vocals take the lead. The “Bløtkake” version sits between those two approaches.

Paradogmata previously released their debut album Endetid in late 2023, with its lead single “The Seeds of Greed” surpassing 100,000 streams on Spotify.
