Marius Ziska Releases New Single "Don't Ever Run"

Faroese artist Marius Ziska is today releasing his new single "Don't Ever Run", a catchy indie-pop track underscored by darker lyrical themes. The single marks the second preview of his forthcoming fifth solo album, due for release on January 29, 2027.

Marius Ziska composed the melody first and sent a demo to Denmark where Roar Amundsen wrote the lyric. “Don’t Ever Run” is an attempt to capture the feeling of despair that takes hold when you can’t connect with another person in the way you re dreaming about. When you have fought for way too long and end up descending into lack of meaning - no longer having the power to reach out but clinging to the hope that the person you’re longing for will come and save you”. - says Marius.

The song was recorded and produced on the Faroe Islands by Marius Ziska and Kristoffer Mørkøre in collaboration with the rest of Ziska s live band - Heðin Ziska Davidsen, Magnus Johannesen and Jan Rúni Poulsen. Mixed by Kristoffer Mørkøre and mastered by Heini Ragnarsson.

Marius Ziska is one of the most beloved artists on the Faroe Islands over the last decade. His special skill for writing beautiful and melancholic melodies, combined with his fabulous voice and a tightly knit band adding power and intense dynamics to the music, has won him a lot of dedicated fans over the years. He has played showcase festivals like The Great Escape, Iceland Airwaves, By:Larm and SPOT Festival, toured extensively in Germany, Denmark and Norway with his band, and played a bunch of support shows for Eivor all over Europe. In 2023 he played three big soldout concerts with the Faroese Symphony Orchestra. Ziska has won several Faroese Music Awards, and his music has been used in documentaries and commercials in Denmark, Iceland and the USA.

“Don t Ever Run” will be released on Danish indie label Mayday Music on August 28th 2026.
