Nnavy Releases New Single "Distance"; From Upcoming Album "I'll Wait For You" - Out 30th October

Swiss singer, songwriter and performer NNAVY today releases her new single “Distance,” the third instalment from her debut album I’ll Wait For You, out October 30th. Following the critically acclaimed “Slowly Burning,” and “Late Nights”, the new track offers another glimpse into NNAVY’s distinctive blend of soul, R&B and jazz, establishing her as one of the most compelling emerging voices in the scene.

An anthem of female empowerment and self-preservation, “Distance” explores the turbulent process of finding your sense of self in your early twenties, and the balance between inner growth and navigating relationships with others. At its heart, the song is about recognising when a relationship is no longer serving you and having the strength to step back.

As NNAVY explains: “The song serves as a reminder that no one should accept poor treatment from romantic or platonic partners. With a message of setting boundaries and focusing on self-worth, ‘Distance’ encourages listeners to keep people at a distance when necessary to protect their own energy and growth.”

Ahead of the release of “Distance,” NNAVY has already made a strong impression with the first two singles from I’ll Wait For You. “Late Nights” has received UK radio support from BBC Radio 1Xtra’s R&B Show with Chuckie, alongside airplay from Germany’s Deutschlandfunk and Switzerland’s SRF 3, SRF Virus and RTS Couleur 3, highlighting the growing international reach of her music.

The album’s first single, “Slowly Burning,” arrived in June and quickly found an audience across streaming platforms, landing on Spotify’s Queen and R&B Weekly, Apple Music’s New Music Daily and Alpha Women, as well as curated playlists across Pandora and Vevo. Vevo subsequently selected NNAVY as a Vevo DSCVR artist, further recognising her as an emerging talent to watch. The track has also continued to build at radio, including national rotation on SRF 3 and RTS Couleur 3, establishing strong foundations for the release of I’ll Wait For You.

Together, all three singles paint a vivid portrait of the emotional world at the centre of I’ll Wait For You: a record about grief, resilience, desire and self-worth, moving across twelve songs between R&B, soul and jazz.

Since launching her artist project, NNAVY has released four critically acclaimed EPs and earned recognition both at home and internationally, including the TATAKI Award (2023) and the Swiss Music Award for Best Act Romandie (2025). Her growing profile has led to a coveted COLORSxStudios performance (2023) and appearances at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival for three consecutive years, including an opening slot for Lionel Richie in 2023.
