Our Nameless Boy release new single to prelude Debut Album

Returning to the scene, Bristol Alt-Rock outfit, Our Nameless Boy, release their new single, Check Your Smile, ahead of their newly announced Debut Album, due June 5th via Beth Shalom Records.

After being recorded in late 2019 with producer, Daly George (Creeper, Slow Crush, Boston Manor), the three-piece announce details of Colour From The Doves, a sincere and difficult reflection on a year that songwriter Iain Gorrie spent recovering from a life threatening disease. Much like its subject matter, the album is orderless and unpredictable in it’s delivery, with a purposefully scattered narrative and sonics that will at times haunt and at others overwhelm.

Inspired by the emotionally charged ‘quiet/loud’ frenetic dynamics of the late ‘90s/‘00s US alternative scene, Our Nameless Boy bring their own brand of raucous energy to their performances, with songs that are both hard-hitting and subtle in their intricacies.

Iain Gorrie of the band stated, "Check Your Smile was recorded as part of the album sessions but, for me, it just stuck out a little too much to find its place in the final running order. With that said, though, it's one of the tracks I'm most happy with lyrically and releasing it as a prelude to the album makes it kind of a stark thematic cold open."
