Mount Turmoil - "Peak Living" (Alternative Rock from Netherlands)

Dutch alternative rock band Mount Turmoil released their debut full-length album Peak Living on June 24th, 2026 as a self-released digital release.

Across ten tracks, Peak Living draws from a wide range of influences while maintaining a clear identity of its own. The album moves between grunge-inspired intensity, heavier rock moments, stoner grooves, Britpop melodies and occasional punk-driven energy, all tied together by a strong focus on songwriting, memorable hooks and layered vocal harmonies.

One of the album's more distinctive elements appears on “Straight To The Bottom”, which features the bağlama, also known as the saz, a traditional Turkish string instrument that adds another dimension to the band's sound.

Lyrically, Peak Living explores subjects ranging from insecurity and addiction to global conflict and the courage shown by protest movements. Rather than relying on simple slogans or familiar narratives, the songs approach these themes from a personal and reflective perspective, giving the album both emotional depth and relevance.

Recorded at dunk!studios in Belgium, Peak Living captures a band unafraid to move across different shades of alternative rock while keeping melody and character at the centre of every song.
