Pure Obsessions & Red Nights returns with a brand-new single, "As Dirty As It Cleans", a raw and electrifying track that blends the grit of grunge, the energy of alternative rock, and the edge of industrial, all infused with the signature gothic flair of frontman Philippe Deschemin.

Known for his cinematic narratives and darkly poetic vision, Deschemin continues the story of Mr. Strangler, the enigmatic character at the heart of the project’s evolving saga. Speaking about the new release, he explains:

"The saga of Mr. Strangler continues, and it seems the serial killer is once again consumed by his obsessions. After the darkwave atmosphere of the Night Trilogy, I felt the urge to reconnect with my '90s roots—grunge and alternative rock influences like Nirvana, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, and Alice in Chains. I dug out legendary pedals from that era—like the RAT and the DS-1—in an attempt to capture the raw essence of '90s rock. In an age where rock and metal often sound overproduced and soulless, I wanted to strip things back to the basics: a few pedals, a guitar, strong melodies, and pure energy."
