'Reykjavik' Glass Museum's new album is out now
Like many other artists, the duo Glass Museum postponed the release of its new album, originally scheduled for March 27th, due to the pandemic of Covid-19. Unfortunately we are still not out of the crisis... but here is finally 'Reykjavik'! With 'Reykjavik', Glass Museum returns with a second album whose authentic musical identity takes a seat at the table of contemporary jazz. Cinematic, electronic, and organic, the record combines dusky melodies with vibrant rhythms. A ray of light through the night.
For drummer Martin Grégoire, this record was a matter of 'returning to the roots of a more effusive music,' melancholy but intensely alive—beating, even. Cinematic, too. So just as when the track 'Nimbus' calls for alpine landscapes, the song 'Abyss' has whales singing underwater. A real breath of fresh air that offers us a feeling of travel and lightness from our respective places of confinement with the clips of Abyss or Clothing.
