Rock am Ring 2022 - Successful restart

Sunday night the 35th edition of Rock am Ring at the Nürburgring ended with the grand finale of Volbeat on the Utopia Stage and Billy Talent on the Mandora Stage. 90,000 fans celebrated the return of the festival summer after the break caused by the pandemic together with 69 artists on three stages.

It started with a bang: On Friday afternoon, the Donots opened the festival with a joint surprise performance by Die Toten Hosen. The wave of euphoria was carried over the three days by an enthusiastic audience and spectacular performances by Green Day, Muse, Volbeat, Broilers, Casper, Marteria, Måneskin, Billy Talent, Placebo and many other acts.

CEO DreamHaus & festival organizer Matt Schwarz draw a consistently positive balance: “The restart could not have gone better. The spirit of optimism and the joy of being part of a festival again could be felt everywhere. Fans, artists and our partners go home happy.”

The stage program of the most traditional German festival was broadcast exclusively by RTL.

The police headquarters in Koblenz also draw a positive conclusion:

"From a police point of view, we are extremely satisfied with the work at Rock am Ring. All days of the event were largely quiet and without any special incidents. The behavior of the majority of festival visitors was exemplary. We are pleased that we were able to implement our safety mandate at Rock am Ring so well."

With 75,000 visitors per day, Rock im Park in Nuremberg also had an extremely successful festival weekend.

The 36th edition of Rock am Ring and the 27th of Rock im Park will take place from June 2nd to 4th, 2023 at the Nürburgring and at the Nuremberg Zeppelinfeld.
