Saves The Day Debut “Side By Side” Video, New Full Length "9" Due Out Friday October 26th!

With a little over a week remaining until the release of "9" - their highly-anticipated first new full-length in five years - Saves The Day have premiered a new single entitled “Side By Side” along with an official video. “Side By Side” is a nostalgia-drenched alt-rock anthem that reflects on the very beginnings of Saves The Day and Chris Conley’s musical journey. Sonically, the track sports a massive hook that is propelled forward through a wall of screaming guitars and cannon-esque percussion. The perfectly-placed guitar leads throughout help to add another level of octane to a track already fueled by the spirit and energy of a group of teenagers with big dreams starting a rock band in their garage. The video, which was directed by Robyn August, captures that process as friends become bandmates and have the time of their lives building towards their first gig. As anyone who has played in a band will tell you, the first few stages of doing so are some of the best times you’ll ever have, and this video captures that wild hopefulness perfectly.

Saves The Day will be releasing "9", their first new album in five years, on October 26th via Rude Records in partnership with Equal Vision Records. "9" will beSaves The Day’s ninth studio record and contains nine songs that, when listened to together, tells the story of the band from the perspective of its founder, Chris Conley. The album offers this first ever autobiographical look into the band’s history in a way that is as exhaustive as it is poetic and makes the listener a part of the songwriting process. As Conley puts it “This album is the story of Saves The Dayand my own personal journey through life, which all unfolded as my relationship with music progressed”. On the surface, "9" chronicles the epic story of a group of kids from New Jersey who realized their dream and became an international sensation. On a deeper level, it shows how Conley “woke up” and became aware of his own consciousness through his relationship with music and the unbelievable adventures it has inspired since he formed the act in 1997.

"9" was produced by Arun Bali and Saves The Day. Bali mixed and engineered the record, as well. You can preorder "9" today and look for its official release onOctober 26th.
