Last October Simply Red played three very special shows at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Domeaccompanied by a 40-piece orchestra. The set list beautifully showcased their remarkable career including the classic hits ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘Stars’, ‘Fairground’ and ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’.
This November 23rd the CD/DVD of those shows ‘Symphonica in Rosso’ will be released on BMG. Ahead of that release on November 12th – for one night only – fans will have a unique opportunity to experience the concert in cinemas across the globe on the big screen in stunning 5.1 surround sound.
Without doubt Mick Hucknall is one of the country’s most gifted singers with a voice like no other. His band Simply Red have had an incredible career so far with 5 UK number one albums and selling over 60 million albums.
‘Symphonica In Rosso’ is an annual event in Holland where a prestigious artist is invited to perform over three nights with a full orchestra, with Simply Red’s 2017 series marking its 10th anniversary. Previous artists to play ‘Symphonica In Rosso’ include Diana Ross, Sting, and Lionel Ritchie.
Available to pre-order now the physical release includes a hard back Deluxe 3 x disc format with double CD album of 20 live tracks plus full concert DVD, exclusive to simplyred.com. The standard 2 x CD offering, available in all good retailers, includes 16 tracks on CD plus live concert DVD, and the digital release includes all 20 live audio tracks from the night with the Concert Film also being available to buy and download.
