Noise post-punk three-piece SOOMA return with a new record entitled 'Drü' and set to release on May 3rd 2024 via their own imprint Gluttony Records. Black and white first extract "Vouloir Danser" blends intense lyrics and band's life with powerful haunted riffage.

French-Swiss indie rockers SOOMA's new album 'Drü' brings some fresh air to the noise and post-punk movements with proggy elements, grunge fragments and overflowing avant-garde imagination. Their music is a genuine piece of modern art connected to people with high sensitiveness. Text and music are merging into a coherent and unique creative space.

In late 2022, after a series of dates across Europe in support of metal project Zeal & Ardor, they are getting ready to release their third studio album 'Drü' which is entirely sung in French. First excerpt "Vouloir Danser" is the perfect introduction to record's sounding. "With this clip, we wanted to share more intimate moments that the public never sees, just before going on stage. To show ourselves as a group, as human beings behind the scenes. It's a nostalgic clip, and also the first to feature the members of SOOMA. SOOMA's new album is entitled 'Drü' like "three" in Swiss German, like three musicians, like third album. A pluralist meaning also referring to the band's linguistic and cultural particularity, rich and complex. 'Drü' arrives this May 3rd 2024 via Gluttony Records (their own imprint) at the following formats: LP, streaming, download. It was recorded and mixed by Yannick Consaël. Noise/post-punk band SOOMA was founded in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2014 by Yannick Consaël (guitar/vocals) and Fidel Aeberli (drums). They recorded a demo with Marc Bouffé (of Swiss noise trio Hathors) at Working Class Recordings in Winterthur, Switzerland still in 2014, just before bassist Stefan Jocic joined the band. In 2017, SOOMA got back in the studio with Rémi Gettliffe (Last Train, Shineski, The Videos) at White Bat Recorders in France to record their eponymous debut album. After some lineup changes, bassist Victor Rassov joined the band in 2018. The three-piece was nominated - among 800 bands - at the Swiss Live Talents 2019 where they played in November 2019.

SOOMA's sophomore album 'It's All About To Change' was recorded at the White Bat Recorders and came out on February 2020 through Radicalis. Recorded live on tape and mixed analogically, the full-length is a hotchpotch of the harder rock styles. The Swiss men skillfully combine crunchy indie with hardcore, noise and punk, but always remain authentic and never drift off into platitudes or clichés. Paired with the intuitive-emotional lyrics of Yannick Consaël, the result is an exciting, versatile album.

The projet has been played live from its beginnings. SOOMA had the chance to support bands like noise references Hathors, Lysistrata, It It Anita, Birds in Row, Peter Kernel or METZ in their home country and all over Europe. In 2022, they toured as main support of avant-garde metal alchimists Zeal & Ardor. SOOMA's upcoming album 'Drü' arrives on May 3rd 2024 via Gluttony Records.
