Stromae, Headliner At Coachella 2022!

The American music festival Coachella announced its line-up on Thursday morning. Among international music stars such as Billie Eilish and Kanye West, Brussels-based Stromae also appears on the poster. The singer will be performing at the Coachella festival for the second time on Saturday, April 16 and 23. He was undoubtedly the breakaway highlight act at Coachella in 2015, becoming the first Belgian ever to perform at the festival.

Following a sold-out arena tour across all continents – including headlining the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York City, the critically acclaimed Belgian-born artist, writer, performer, producer, designer and director went on an 8 year hiatus to focus on other creative endeavors via his creative label Mosaert with co-founders Coralie Barbier and Luc Van Haver, including making award winning music videos for the likes of Dua Lipa (IDGAF) and Billie Eilish (Hostage), as well as continuing to release high-end fashion capsule collections.

Fast forward to October 2021, Stromae made a much welcomed and surprise return with Santé, which accumulated 3.5 million streams in the first week and quickly became the 5th most streamed track on Spotify upon release, with the music video amassing more than 25 million views on YouTube. Last Sunday (Jan. 9, 2022) Stromae unveiled his latest single "L’enfer", also taken from his highly anticipated forthcoming studio album, ‘Multitude,’ out March 4 (pre-order/save/add HERE). "L'enfer" (translation: “Hell”) is a talisman to fight the darkest of thoughts, where Stromae skillfully juggles a spectrum of emotions, exploring the most intimate of themes. A depressive spiral that the artist lays bare in a few bars, from everyday boredom to the darkest forms of escape. Stromae unveiled "L'enfer" in an exceptional live performance on French TV. The singer has also previously shared a series of new shows in 2022. The 3 avant-premiere shows on February 22th (Brussels), February 24th (Paris) and February 27th (Amsterdam) sold out in no less than 15 minutes. Stromae will be on tour starting 2023 in France, Switzerland and Belgium.
