Superstar DJ to the superstars Samantha Michelle releases her debut single ‘POP X 4’

From Fashion Week to Cannes to Burning Man to Berlin’s notorious KitKat Club, Samantha Michelle has been one of the most in-demand DJs for high-end bespoke events. She cut her teeth on the uber-hip London scene playing Northern Soul parties as half of the legendary duo The Smoking Guns and opening repeatedly for the likes of Duran Duran, Niles Rodgers, and Mark Ronson.

With an innate sense for what works on the most discerning dance floors, Michelle is ready to unleash her productions on the world with the irresistible “POP X 4”’, an Afro-tinged melodic house confection.

‘In my first original track,’ says Michelle, ‘I wanted to lead with something groovy and amapiano inspired; also accessible and bright (summer in LA-made), harmonizing popular sensibilities with diverse elements like rolling log drums and a Santana-inspired riff. With spliced & looped samples and spaced dropouts, I wanted it to feel delivered by a DJ who loves to connect with the crowd. I wanted it to feel both from here and also drawn from the world’s farthest corners, bridging cultures and sonic traditions, serving up something sweet and fun but also sexy and, in a word, a vibe’.
