Swedish proggers Pale Epiphany to release their debut on February 28 via Corrupted Records

Swedish progressive metal band Pale Epiphany has finally unveiled their self-titled debut album, arriving on February 28 via Corrupted Records. Initially written in 2015 but left unfinished for years, the album is now complete, delivering a powerful mix of emotion, intensity, and dynamic songwriting. With influences from Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, and Andromeda, Pale Epiphany explores themes of frustration, anger, and disillusionment through 11 deeply expressive tracks

Sometimes, an album takes years to find its way into the world. Pale Epiphany, the self-titled debut from the Swedish progressive metal band, is one of those records. Originally conceived in 2015 as a side project by Luca Delle Fave (guitarist of Seventh Dimension), the band was meant to be a creative outlet, a space to explore progressive metal in a more direct, emotionally charged way.

Inspired by bands like Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, and Andromeda, the idea was to write songs that carried the weight and complexity of progressive music but with a streamlined, punchier approach. Joined by Erik Arkö (Structural Disorder, Six Feet Deeper) and Kalle Björk (Structural Disorder, Scarefield), the band quickly put together 11 tracks, but life had other plans. As the members focused on their main projects, Pale Epiphany was put on hold, an unfinished vision left waiting in the background.

Now, nearly a decade later, that vision has finally come to life. With Linus Abrahamson (Andromeda, Edge of a Circle) stepping in on bass, the band has reignited their passion and completed the album they started years ago. The music still holds onto its original purpose, exploring themes of anger, frustration, and disillusionment, but now carries an added weight, shaped by the years that have passed. Each track reflects the inner turmoil of a person struggling with bitterness and detachment from the world around them, resulting in a powerful and cathartic listening experience.
