Swiss act Nightshade bring Wired (2025 Remaster) back to life
Swiss metal band Nightshade are reissuing their 2003 EP WIRED in a fully remastered edition, set for release on March 5. Originally recorded on a 16-track tape machine with no digital editing, the EP captured a raw analog sound and energy inspired by acts like Samael and Kovenant. For this remaster, the drum machine has been entirely reprogrammed using the same vintage hardware, ensuring a faithful yet refreshed take on the original release.
Following their 2021 album Sounds of Dark Matter and ahead of their next full-length release, Nightshade are bringing back their 2003 EP WIRED in a newly remastered edition. Originally released on CD through the French label Adipocère, the EP was recorded using a 16-track tape machine, capturing a raw analog sound with no digital editing. The programmed drums gave it a distinct character, drawing inspiration from Swiss electro-metal pioneers Samael and Norway’s Kovenant.
For this 2025 remaster, the band has reprogrammed the drum machine using the same original hardware from the early recordings, ensuring that the EP retains its original feel while benefiting from updated production techniques.
Alongside the reissue, an upscaled video of Inside of You from the band’s 2004 Swiss television performance will be released, as well as a new lyric video for Glass.
