SX releases videoclip and will perform at SXSW

November 2016. Four years after Stefanie Callebaut and Benjamin Desmet’s debut album Arche struck gold, SX returns with a more confident, stripped, fiery, harmonious and ultimately also more seductive album: Alphabet. ‘I like to call it exotic reality’, says sonic witchdoctor Benjamin Desmet about Alphabet’s sound. ‘In the sense that we look for the unexpected in the realm of both our imagination and the world around us’, adds Stefanie Callebaut, SX’s captivating frontwoman. ‘We love to experiment and push the boundaries of pop music – adding both gospel and techno along the way.’

Feb 2017. The song Vision is about the beauty of human perception. "We are all sentiments in a body glove". SX decides to involve the amazingly talented French Sankofa Unit Gospel Choir in the making of their new videoclip. Stefanie and Benjamin go to Paris to shoot the video for Vision and to find the chemistry between perception and sensation. Inspired by the art of Rembrandt and French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty amongst others, they create their new visual story.

SX is known for its stunning music videos, which the two band members direct themselves. Three months ago, their videoclip for the track ‘Mercury’ won 'Best Video' at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards 2016. Ten music videos had been shortlisted by the 100 music experts of the RBEA Academy and the award was determined by public vote and by the experts on a 50/50 base.

PERFORMING AT SXSW MARCH 2017

March 16th, SX will be sharing the title of “SXSW performer” with huge names like Prince, and Kendrick Lamar (just to name a very select few). SXSW is one of the largest music festivals of the year, located in Austin, Texas, United States.
