Tems releases "Born in the Wild"

GRAMMY Award-winning, Oscar nominated, Lagos, Nigeria-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tems has just released her highly anticipated debut album via RCA Records / Since 93’.

Tems also announced she will embark on her first ever headlining world tour this summer, the BORN IN THE WILD WORLD TOUR. The global outing kicks off on Wednesday, June 12 in London at Eventim Apollo, with stops across Europe including France, Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands. A Belgian date is planned for June 30th at Couleur Café. Tems will then kick off her North American run, on August 22 in Miami at The Fillmore Miami Beach, with 17 stops across the U.S., before heading to Africa and wrapping up in Australia at The Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on November 15.

Fans can expect to hear songs from her forthcoming debut album Born In The Wild, including her latest single “Love Me JeJe.” The self directed, official music video for “Love Me JeJe” pays homage to her childhood and upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria. The stunning visual embodies the infectious, feel-good energy of her home and is a dance worthy summer anthem. The video also features Seyi Sodimu, who inspired the single as it features an interpolation of his Nigerian classic of the same name released in 1997.

Tems recently made her Coachella Music Festival debut, where she teased and performed “Love Me JeJe” during her set both weekends. Her performance was met with rave reviews, including the likes of Billboard who declared she delivered a “striking debut set ... backed by a gorgeous outdoor setting on the stage that perfectly matched her warm, powerful voice.” Tems also surprised the crowd with special appearances from Justin Bieber and Wizkid to perform their smash hit “Essence” during weekend 1.
