The Led lights took over the city: Dennis e o Cão da Meia-Noite new single
The Walking Dog of the brazilian post-punk scene, who prefers the Adidas sold on Brás to the hipster clothes of Santa Cecilia’s stores, is back with the new single “As Luzes de Led Tomaram Conta da Cidade (The Led Lights Take Over the City). The song is a plunge into dissatisfaction and the alienation of urban centers in the midst of Christmas lights, a desire to escape for a new life during the holidays celebrations.

"Dennis Monteiro", or "Dennis Sinned" as he is better known, has already become a reference within the underground post-punk scene of São Paulo, always attentive to the dilemmas and loneliness we face in the chaotic cities we call home. "Dennis" brought us his icy compositions through bands such as "1983", "Days Are Nights", "Cinzas dos Tempos" among many others, and is now the captain of “Dennis e o Cão da Meia-Noite” (Dennis and the Midnight Dog).
"Dennis Sinned" runs alongside the nocturnal dogs, being an expert observer of the creatures that inhabit the dark alleys of the great metropolises. An artist who remains original and is not seduced by the hypes that dictate alternative cultures.
The band breathes in the frequencies of guitarists from the post punk scenes of the 70s & 80s with noisy reverberations from the dreampop and shoegaze universe, inspired by legends such as “Jesus & Mary Chain”, “Legião Urbana” or “Cocteau Twins”.
The single was recorded at “Dissonância Magnetética” Studio in São Paulo and was recorded by “Dennis Sinned”, himself. Mastering was done by “Diego de Oliveira” (“cubüs” / “Paranoia Musique”).
And on the next day “December 9, 2022”, the label “Paranoia Musique” launches “As Luzes de Led Tomaram Conta da da Cidade” on all digital platforms (“Spotify”, “Deezer”, “Bandcamp”, “Plainsong”, “Tidal”, “Apple Music” and others).
