The Radar Station Releases "Live at Room 13" EP with live versions of songs from their "Birds of Choice" album

Live at Room 13 is the second of three EPs that The Radar Station will release in 2026. It captures a moment in time you can return to again and again, with a sincerity rarely found on studio albums. Live at Room 13 features five unique live recordings of songs from their second album Birds of Choice (2025) recorded at Room 13 Studios, Ghent, Belgium. The Radar Station is known for their authentic live performances, winning over even the most skeptical listeners and continually surprising returning audiences, as their songs evolve on stage with ideas that emerge in the heat of the moment.

First track on the EP is the live version of January Colours. In January Colours everything is weather-stained and pale, with no perspective on the return of more vivid days. It’s a deeply personal song about depression and the pressure it puts on lovers, family and friends.It’s about the balance between accepting help and leaning too heavily on someone without being able to stand on your own two feet.

There’s a sort of anger to be heard in the chorus, but it’s underlined by a feeling of determination to give yourself time, but also to make choices/changes to let the light back in.

The Radar Station played sold-out release tours for both their first and second albums, performing at venues including Ancienne Belgique, Trix, Het Depot, De Arenberg, and many more. This summer they will take stage at two Belgian festivals; Suikerrock in Tienen (8 August) and Maanrock in Mechelen (28 August).

More About The Radar Station

The Radar Station emerged in 2017 from the musical collaboration between brothers Brent Buckler (vocals, guitar) and Sander Cliquet (guitar, backing vocals, synths), creating a distinctive blend of indie rock with cinematic soundscapes. Their sound has always been full of ambition, intensity and raw emotion - drawing inspiration from artists like The National, The War on Drugs, Sam Fender, Nick Cave and Big Thief.

In 2020, they won De Nieuwe Lichting, Belgium’s top music contest, launching their debut album Life Inside A Tornado, which hit the airwaves on stations like Studio Brussel, Radio 1, Willy and Radio 2. With sold out shows at venues like AB, Trix and Het Depot and appearances at festivals including Dranouter and Labadoux, The Radar Station made its mark in the Belgian indie scene.

After a few years of reflection and late night writing sessions in the south of France, The Radar Station returned in 2025 with a brand na new album, Birds Of Choice, produced by Koen Gisen (The Bony King Of Nowhere, Oscar & The Wolf, Nordmann).
