the.king.lost (Bert Verbeke's band) releases debut single "Not Like Yesterday"

After two years of writing in his home studio, Bert Verbeke shared his music with the world. During try-outs, his songs reached people and found a way under their skin. His solo work exudes calm and is characterized by sensitivity and space in the music, making it perfectly suited for smaller stages and intimate living room concerts at the time. A first selection of songs was mixed and produced by Fredrik Vogsborg, a Norwegian producer known for his work with artists such as AURORA, Casiokids, and The Megaphonic Thrift. With a Scandinavian touch, the first finished songs became a reality.

The ambition to conquer larger stages brought Verbeke together with Michaël Degreef (Noëmie Wolfs, Yong Yello) and Gerben Brys (HONEY, Ottla). Together, they began creating and recording again, once more with their trusted Norwegian producer. In their quest for an even more layered live sound, Elisabeth De Loore (DE VICKY) joined the group. the.king.lost was born.

With their first single, “Not Like Yesterday”, the.king.lost offers a glimpse of what their debut album will sound like: introspective, narrative and elusive. Now, the time has come to share this collection of songs with the world from the stage.
