Tom Grennan releases "Evering Road"
Tom Grennan’s highly anticipated second album ‘Evering Road’ is released today via Insanity Records. Tipped as "Grennan's return could be his first No.1." by the Guardian, ‘Evering Road’ marks Grennan’s boldest artistic statement to date. A coming of age tale shot through with raw emotion and searing honesty, it’s the hub of love, heartbreak and redemption.
Described as “one of the country's bright young musical talents" by British GQ, and simply “epic” by the NME, The Sun praised Tom as “the ultimate Gen Z rock star”. Elsewhere Music Week applauded “an epic breakup lament”, CLASH saw “a soulful piece of introspection”, and Classic Pop championed “layers of complexity”.
‘Evering Road’ includes the singles ‘Little Bit Of Love’, ‘This Is The Place’, ‘Amen’ and new collaborative release, ‘Let’s Go Home Together’. Recorded with Ella Henderson, the pair performed the track live on The Graham Norton Show and have seen overwhelming success landing at Number One in The Official Big Top 40.
Through the lockdown, Tom has continued to use his platform and voice to give back to his community, promoting positive mental health through acts of kindness. The UK face of Tommy Hilfiger's ‘Moving Forward Together’ campaign, Tom’s lent support volunteering with his local Bedford Foodbank, launching virtual support groups for fans on social media, and running 100K for War Child’s ‘Peace Band’ to raise awareness for children living in conflict.
Despite the nationwide restrictions, Tom has maintained a vast audience in the live arena, with his latest virtual interactive gig receiving overwhelming demand as he debuted new music to over 27,000 fans. October 2020 saw a full circle moment as Tom headlined London’s O2 Academy Brixton for a second time, with a virtual gig live-streamed in 360 described as “authentic magic” by The Telegraph and “major league pop music" by Dork Magazine.
Tom Grennan will perform Evering Road live across a UK headline tour through September and October 2021, including his biggest ever UK headline show to date at London’s Alexandra Palace - a landmark gig at the iconic 10,000 capacity venue.
Evering Road’ marks the follow up to ‘Lighting Matches’ - Tom’s breakthrough album that cemented him as one of the UK’s most vital and exciting new artists, and one of the Top Ten best-selling debuts of 2018.
