Vancouver's The Jins Announce Debut Album 'It's A Life' Out June 30th | Share "Effigy"

Vancouver rock trio The Jins today announce their debut album It’s A Life and share the latest single “Effigy”. It’s a Life is set for release on June 30th via 604 Records.

The Jins are Ben Larsen (vocals, guitar), Hudson Partridge (bass) and Jamie Warnock (drums, vocals). Recorded in Vancouver with producer Dave Genn (54-40), It’s a Life builds off the ‘90s-crushed guitar rock of their Death Wish EP (2019), while giving the tracks a bit more room to breathe.

Speaking on the single the band says, “Effigy is a song that has been floating around the band in varying forms for years now, until we sat down and whittled it into the version we’re finally putting out. It has become the band’s first true ballad, our reflection on the allure of self-sabotage and the ripples that has on our lives and those close to us.”

With a new album now on the horizon, The Jins are planning to tour for the first time since Death Wish’s “She Said” unexpectedly took off on TikTok and brought the band to an even bigger streaming audience (the song has over 7 million streams and counting on Spotify).

It’s a Life is set for release on June 30th via 604 Records.
