Vesperwynd releases "Silenced by Thunder"

"I began to visualize Earth from far off in space, wrapped in clouds of humanity's foolish and violent legacy”. Michigan metalnauts Vesperwynd's third official release Silenced by Thunder marks the first contribution from Jason Potts, who shares guitar and vocal duties with Tony Shechtman.

“I could see all the laughter and joy through history blended in with the suffering and depravity in one block,” Potts explains.

Tony’s clean vocals on the relentless marching verse sound an ominous warning answered by Jason’s snarling declarations on the soaring chorus. The bridge brings a dreamlike scene change evoking Slavic folklore, occult references, and Lynchian mythos.

“This is the vantage point from where the song is sung. It seems ever more likely this isn't going to end well, and this song is a product of mentally preparing for that.”

Silenced by Thunder was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Vesperwynd bassist Rich Vogel at Midi Castle and will be streaming on all major services on 11th November 2022.
