Vigier's summer storm New video "Whoever You Are" now available!

“Whoever You Are” is the first single from Summer Storm, a progressive influenced classic rock band. The track comes from the album “First,” out September 28th. Along with rocking bangers like “Whoever You Are” and “Little by Little” are more introspective tracks such as “G.V.” and “Life is Too Short.”

Summer Storm was founded by guitarist Patrice Vigier, the renowned French guitar maker whose instruments have been played by the members of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Simple Minds and Guns n' Roses among many others. Vigier is surrounded by prominent French musicians - vocalist Renaud Hantson (Starmania, Notre-Dame de Paris, Satan Jokers), drummer Aurelien Ouzoulias (Zuul Fx, Morglbl), and bassist Pascal Mulot (Patrick Rondat and many others.)

Summer Storm defines itself as “progressive classic rock” and the group aims to be the first French progressive rock band to break internationally. Recorded over a period of three years, Patrice Vigier describes “First” as a sonic link between life and death.

Vigier believes that what matters most in music is not necessarily technically proficient, physically daunting or even note-perfect performances, but producing a final product that is a greater whole than the sum of its parts. While he's a guitarist himself, he believes strongly in the central part the vocals and lyrics must play in that pursuit.

Patrice Vigier has been a world renowned guitar maker since 1980. His reputation as such is based on his penchant designing innovative instruments, such as his fretless Surfreter guitars, which feature metal fretboards and the Nautilus guitars and basses, which were the first on earth to feature digital memory on board. Vigier instruments are played by some of the greatest performers of the last 50 years including Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Simple Minds, Guns n' Roses, Oingo Boingo, Stanley Hordan, Lapiro de Mbanga and Shawn Lane.

Pursuing challenges is not new to Patrice has he has demonstrated over the course of nearly forty years in the guitar making industry. In addition to making guitars, Patrice has established his distribution company in France, later adding divisions abroad. His passion for music, great determination and self-motivation have enabled him to achieve his goals to this point. This is his philosophy for Summer Storm as well.
