Virus releases Memento Collider

Norwegian experimental hard rockers, VIRUS, have unveiled the first details of their upcoming album Memento Collider, due to be released on June 3, 2016 via Karisma Records.

Exisiting in a musical bubble very much of their own creation, VIRUS have withdrawn from outside inspiration, perferring instead to look inward, finding inspiration in themselves. The process has culminated in perhaps their most natural work to date - honed and fine tuned pre-studio, and pieced together by the band as a whole. Five years in the making, Memento Collider is a result of the band allowing a maturation of their output, time to rewrite, reassess, and to rediscover the same playful, free-flowing mindset they enjoyed during the making of their debut album, Carheart.

Vocalist Czral commented: "We tried out the songs live, we honed the arrangements, re-wrote the lyrics, changed the song-titles, everything, until it was just right.

"Now it seems that the songs are coming together more naturally than before, though it’s taking more time. It’s coming from the heart. It’s not something that needs to be constructed, it’s become an organism of its own."

Memento Collider carries on where the previous album left off, with a pulsating rhythm, and captivatingly unique vocals courtesy of VIRUS mastermind, Czral.

Memento Collider will be the first release for VIRUS on Karisma Records.
