Yasmine Hamdan releases album Jamilat Reprise out now - Live @Flagey; 20/10/18

In her second album Al Jamilat (‘The Beautiful Ones’ Crammed Discs 2017), which she jointly produced with UK producers Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode, Lily Allen) and Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Carl Barät), Yasmine Hamdan pursues her musical exploration of Arabic Pop, while taking a look at the mutations at work within the Arab world. While Yasmine’s unconventional and fresh vocals are definitely connected to the traditions of Arabic music, the songs take in elements from contemporary Western electronic, pop and folk music.

In June 2018 Yasmine Hamdan releases Jamilat Reprise (vinyl & digital), her latest album with reconstructions and remixes, revealing some of the lovely, secret perspectives hidden in Al Jamilat.
