With the release of their first single 'You And Me’, the FARMER BOYS made a sensational comeback, and then, with another two singles and festival shows at Summer Breeze and Turock Open Air in summer, they were ready for the release of the new album in November. The album then scored a sensational #58 on the German charts. Clearly, The old magic that makes this band so unique has returned; that big, triumphant voice that goes around the world – with sometimes heavy sometimes virtuosic guitar playing, the powerful bass, the dramatic keyboard parts and the pumping drums. FARMER BOYS-singer Matthias Sayer comments: „This album is much more than just a comeback for us: it’s a direction, our direction, mission and destiny at the same time. Those years in the distance are now the key for this really great chapter."

In 2018, the FARMER BOYS appear as matured songwriters, their music feels grown-up and balanced, the riffs and melodies are connected much better than before, without losing their hardness or allowing in too much pop. The press is also very enthusiastic about the new songs: ‚Rock Hard’ calls it „a comeback to measure and great cinema“, ‚MetalHammer DEcheers: „Good, that you’re back!”. In the German Edition of the ‚Guitar’magazine, they speak about „Bombastic guitars at their finest” and the ‚Sonic Seducer’judges: „Better and more anthem like than ever before.”

In the 90s, the band went down in international music history. Their first record “Countrified” was released in 1995. With BMG, they had a major label to cover their back when they were working with Siggi Bemm and Waldemar Sorychta (Ex- DESPAIR, - GRIP INC.). The newcomers never really defined their own musical style; they went on tour with the British extreme metalers of NAPALM DEATH in late 1995, and in 1996 with RAMMSTEIN. After supporting METALLICA in Stuttgart (‚Blindman's Ball‘-festival with BUSH, MARILYN MANSON, FANTA 4, CLAWFINGER and many more) they released their second album in 1997, „Till The Cows Come Home”. After several other festival shows, the band went on tour throughout the USA, joining DEFTONES, BAD RELIGION and NOFX on the 'Vans Warped-Tour'. For their third release, „The World Is Ours” (2000), the FARMER BOYS harvested only good or even very good critics from all around and in September of 2000 they went on tour in Germany with OOMPH. After signing with Nuclear Blast, the next record „The Other Side” was released at the end of January 2004. After a short break in December 2008, they played a reunion gig in Stuttgart called ‚Heimspiel-Reloaded’. This was followed by a break of ten years before „Born Again” was released.
