Exciting news for fans of the southern German death-thrash metal band Helldrifter - the group is currently working on new material for their upcoming second album. On December 12, Helldrifter frontman Billy Kolins posted on Facebook a photo of last year’s Rock Hard Issue including the following message: "Next year, maybe with some new material? Maybe? So, yes! We are working on some new material."

In recent months, Helldrifter has been performing alongside other heavy metal acts such as Out of Order, Virocracy, and Septagon, including a performance at the Exhume the Metal VI festival.

The band's debut album, "Lord of Damnation," was released in 2021 through Nuclear Blast's Blood Blast Distribution. The album was recorded and mixed by Roland Böfgen and produced in collaboration with the band at Hard Drive Sounds studios in Stuttgart, Germany.

Helldrifter has also announced several live shows for the mid-2023 timeframe on their official website, with some shows being rescheduled from 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
