Cult heavy rockers NIGHTSTALKER have signed a worldwide deal with Heavy Psych Sounds Records, who are more than proud to welcome the pioneering band to their eclectic artist roster!
Being one of the first acts of their genre with a debut EP, "SideFX", released back in the middle of the grunge era in 1994, NIGHTSTALKER will be releasing their 8th studio album titled "Great Hallucinations" on October 4th with Heavy Psych Sounds.
This album will directly hit your rock soul. Eight blistering, new tracks which are showcasing the various side of NIGHTSTALKER's sound, combining groovy parts with heaviness and catchy melodies. The guitars so heavy but spacey and psychedelic at the same time, a bass that is always groovy with intense punch. All together with the power and melody of Argy’s vocal skills are the secret of the band's music. Raw rock 'n roll simplicity, stunning riffs and electric haze are what have kept the band going for more than 20 years. Formed in Greece, in late 1989, by singer (and at the time drummer) Argy and made truly stable with the addition of bassist Andreas in 1992, NIGHTSTALKER managed to meld their heavy rock influences with funky rhythms and grungy melodies to create a whole new beast. With all these elements in place they released the first EP in 1994 entitled "SideFx." With the release of their first full length album "USE" in 1996, the band established themselves and their own trademark brand of dark heavy sounds. 2000 saw a slight shuffle in membership as well as a new EP, "The Ritual", which found NIGHTSTALKER treading further in to the realms of deepest, darkest Psychedelica. Line-up fully entrentched the ensuing pair of albums, 2004's "Just A Burn" and 2009's "Superfreak" garnered the band a new and loyal following across the world.
Which set the stage for their dark masterpiece, "Dead Rock Commandos." Another disticntive album that proved they still belong to the most important bands in the history of the European Hard Rock scene. Listening to NIGHTSTALKER you can figure out why Greece is the perfect country for stoner rock bands and why the Greek stoner scene is one of the greatest worldwide.
