The new Velvetcut single "Eating Machine" was released on the 5th of April, the saddest date of the Seattle grunge scene.

Hailing from Helsinki, Finnish Velvetcut returns from a 12-year hiatus with the single "Eating Machine". Formed at the beginning of the millennium, the band released three albums. The sound has evolved from gothic rock to electric rock. On the upcoming album, the band does a 180-degree turn. With the new material, the winds of Seattle and the 90's grunge movement blow, which aesthetics can be found both in the band's music and imagery.

Velvetcut has performed many times, for example at the leading Finnish festival Provinssirock and numerous smaller festivals.

With this new single, the band also marks the first notes in a new partnership with the internationally acclaimed Finnish record label, Rockhopper Music.
