A great new confirmation for Rock Werchter 2020! Kendrick Lamarcomes to the Festivalpark on Saturday 4 July. He’s the most celebrated hip-hop artist of his generation and probably soon of all time.

This week’s flurry of names for Rock Werchter 2020 is looking very good. Pearl Jam, Pixies and Wilco are confirmed for Thursday 2 July. As are Kendrick Lamar, Twenty One Pilots and The Streets for Saturday 4 July....

Kendrick Lamar won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in music for his album DAMN., making him the first non-jazz or classical artist to win the prize.

The awards were announced on Monday, with the Pulitzer Prize board calling the album “a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.”
