Black Belt Eagle Scout komt naar De Botanique

Indigenous, queer en feministische indie-rock: zo kan je Black Belt Eagle Scout het best omschrijven. Katherine Paul, de multi-instrumentaliste achter het project, maakt muziek over verlies en liefde vanuit haar eigen unieke standpunt. Haar grote uitdaging is om zichtbaarheid te creëren voor de indigenous en LGBT-gemeenschappen waar ze deel van uitmaakt, zonder dat ze in tokenism gepusht wordt. Haar muziek is voor iedereen, maar toch vooral voor mensen zoals zij.

De internationale pers is alleszins als een blok voor haar gevallen.
