Cleopatrick lanceer single Please en kondigt album aan

Het Canadese rockduo cleopatrick kondigt de komst van hun tweede album FAKE MOON aan met de komst van de single PLEASE. Het album zal op 14 maar uit komen. Je kunt PLEASE hier op Spotify luisteren.

Jeugdvrienden Luke Gruntz en Ian Fraser vormen samen het duo cleopatrick. Hun debuutalbum BUMMER en opvolgende EP DOOM mochten rekenen op lovende reacties. Het duo heeft even een tijdje een stap terug genomen en zich alleen gefocust op het maken van nieuwe muziek. Hierdoor konden ze de verwachtingen die ze zichzelf op hadden gelegd loslaten. Aan de hand van muzikaal en productioneel experiment hebben ze een meer volwassen sound gevonden, waar PLEASE een voorproefje van is. Hierover de band:

There's a gradual surrender and slow unraveling in the recording — like the sound itself is subject to the same cosmic pull I'm singing about. By the end of the track, all the instruments are being torn apart digitally. Phil (Weinrobe) had almost the entire mix running through an old Roland 303 sampler that mangled the audio into this beautiful, slushy mess of missing information and usurped data. and so the concept loops back on itself eternally.
