Kasabian brengt nieuw album uit op 28 april

Kasabian, de Britse rockband uit Leicester kondigt vandaag de release aan van hun 6de studio album ‘For Crying Out Loud’, dat uitkomt op 28 april. Het album werd geschreven en geproducet door Kasabian wizard Serge Pizzorno, en opgenomen in zijn eigen studio in Leicester ‘The Sergery’.

Serge: “I decided to give myself six weeks to write an album like they used to do back in the day and that became really inspiring. I made sure there was no fat on anything, it was going to be classic songs, no self-indulgence, nothing was going on there that shouldn’t. I’d heard Berry Gordy had said if you’ve not got them in the first four bars then you’re finished, so I went in with this old school attitude of song-writing.”

Waar hun laatste album ‘48:13’ uit 2014 meer een elektronische sound had, was de band erop gebrand om nu opnieuw een goed gitaar album te maken: “There was an ambition to save guitar music from wherever the hell it’s going. We’re trying to save it from being written off as just old music. We wanted to make a very positive album full of hope with guitars to remind people that it’s still relevant.”

Kasabian heeft vier UK #1 albums op hun naam en verkochten al meer dan 5,5 miljoen albums wereldwijd. Verder wonnen ze een Brit Award, 7 NME awards en 4 Q Awards.
