Solange Knowles brengt na 8 jaar nieuw album uit

Afgelopen vrijdag dropte Solange het album ‘A Seat at the Table’, haar eerste album sinds 8 jaar. Solange schreef en co-producete het album met Raphael Saadiq en bevat features van oa Sampha, Kelly Rowland, Q-Tip, Tweet en Lil Wayne .

Solange begon al in 2013 te werken aan het album en beschrijft het als “een project over identiteit, versterking, onafhankelijkheid, rouw en verwerking'.

‘Seat At The Table’ is een neo-soul album met een belangrijke boodschap voor zwart Amerika, doorspekt met black empowerment, de stroming die in Amerika strijdt voor meer emancipatie voor de Afro-Amerikaanse gemeenschap.
