The Cat Empire komen naar de Ancienne Belgique

Eindelijk terug, na hun uitverkochte ABClub, VK, ABConcertzaal, Pukkelpop... En deze zomer ook weer Werchter!

The Cat Empire is nog altijd vooral een live act (beweren ze zelf.) Maar ondertussen heeft dit waanzinnige gezelschap uit Melbourne Australië wel al een tiental cd's uit. Plus hits à la het schitterende 'Brighter Than Gold'.

Op hun site konden we al lezen: 'when your whole musical concept is about transcending genre... out of pure improvised energy, it can be hard to know what to call the music you are creating... The jazz/reggae/funk/latin/gypsy/hip hop tag grew longer and longer, but it was an apt description... it didn’t matter what it was, as long as people were dancing...
