The Dead Daisies naar Europa met KISS en nieuwe frontman John Corabi

Na een succescolle Amerikaanse tour in 2014 met Kiss en Def Leppard komen The Dead Daisies nu naar Europa. De band zal KISS vergezellen op hun ‘40th Anniversary Tour’. Op 18 juni spelen The Dead Daisies in de Ziggo Dome met een nieuwe frontman in de vorm van John Corabi (ex Motley Crue / RATT).

De tour valt samen met de release van het tweede album van The Dead Daisies Revolución, welke op 29 mei in de wereldwijd verschijnt. Het album werd opgenomen in Australië en Cuba, waar de band als eerste westerse band een optreden gaf op Cuba Rocks For Peace, nadat de handelsbeperkingen vanuit de VS werden versoepeld. Het album werd opgenomen door Craig Porteils (Guns n’ Roses / Billy Idol).

Op het nieuwe album bestaat de band uit bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake), toetsenist Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses), gitarist David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix), lead gitarist Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/The Psychedelic Furs), en Jackie Barnes (Tin Lids/Jimmy Barnes) en dus John Corabi.

De sound van The Dead Daisies is sterk beïnvloed door de hard rock uit de jaren 70 en begin jaren 80. Met grote refreinen, sterke melodieën en spierballen gitaren, in de lijn van Bad Company en Foreigner.
