Band Of Skulls announces new album Himalayan on 31st March 2014
Rock heavyweights Band of Skulls today unveil the artwork for third studio album ‘Himalayan’. Pictured above, the artwork is a collaboration between the band, Danish born / Canadian based artist Lasse Smith & Phi Creative based in Montreal, who were responsible for the art direction on the band's first two albums.

The sound wave of the track Himalayan was made into a sculpture using a 3D printer. It was then painted, computer manipulated before creating the final stunning image.

Released through Electric Blues Recordings, ‘Himalayan’ will be available for pre order from 9th December. With seminal producer Nick Launay (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) at the helm, Band of Skulls deliver a body of work to cement their rock credentials, combining trademark raucous blues riffs, masterful musicianship and faultless vocal harmonies in an album full of raw power and beautiful melodies. The band have also unveiled the video for lead single ‘Asleep at the Wheel’, out on 5th January http://smarturl.it/bosaatwvd.

After the success of 2011’s ‘Sweet Sour’, the band have toured worldwide with full-throttle live shows earning them a reputation as one of the most accomplished, exhilarating live bands around. They have just finished a European arena tour supporting Queens Of The Stone Age and have shared the stage with Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, The Dead Weather and Muse in the past year, boasting two sold-out headline London shows at The Roundhouse and Brixton Academy. Band Of Skulls tour will be embarking on a UK tour in March 2014. See http://bandofskullstickets.sandbag.uk.com for more details.
