Habit of You is the third single taken from Tom McRae’s latest album, Étrange Hiver, released last month. As with the rest of the album, the single is a duet with a French artist, in this instance, a young artist from Bordeaux, Naya.
The critically acclaimed album features 11 duets with French artists. An idea that came about during lock-down, when Tom recorded a duet with his friend, Wannes Capelle.
Says Tom: “when I was looking for more people to sing with, I wanted voices that could carry emotion, that had a very distinct personality, and even though she’s young, Naya is already a great artist with a great voice, I heard her songs and thought I could write a song for our voices to be telling two sides of the same story. She’s currently in New York, making her second album.
I predict she’s going to be a big star”.
Following a sold out solo tour of Belgium in March, Tom is returning to play Labadoux festival on May 4th, and again on May 24th to play a very special campfire concert, at Kasteel van Horst.
