The FADER Premieres "Dun D Place" Video Featuring Stylo G From Jus Now's Third EP via Feel Up Records Out Today

Jus Now, the production duo of LAZAbeam & Sam Interface is an ever-evolving music outfit that continues to fuse the sound of their hometowns Port of Spain (Trinidad) and Bristol (United Kingdom), respectively. The group’s latest Way Up EP is their third release through the Feel Up Records label, founded by Jillionaire of Major Lazer. Jus Now’s melting pot of sound, known for a rich palette of horns, drums, and steel pan drives the 6-track project. Way Up's lead single, "Dun D Place" featuring Stylo G, is accompanied by a provocative music video filmed in Tokyo, Japan. The new Jus Now clip, directed by Tom Swindell, is a "rocket-fueled hybrid banger" according to The FADER. Watch here.

Swindell's footage is a very rare look at authentic Caribbean culture embraced by the thriving community of Japanese dancehall queens Mai, Chiaki Iida and Rudy E, plus former dancehall king Cornbread a.k.a. Jaken. The visual is perfectly cast, taking place on Halloween. Every frame of the video displays extravagant costumes, frenetic dance moves and choreography in the middle of bustling intersections. Although Jus Now and Stylo G's parts were filmed in a London studio, his performance is a seamless fit. Following the precedent of "Dun D Place," each song from Way Up is just as uptempo in rhythm. The EP boasts two major contributions by soca heavy-hitters Kerwin Prescott and Chalmer John. "The music in "Dun D Place," (like a lot of what we do) is a mashup of styles from all over the world," says Jus Now.
