Airwolf Paradise launches new label "West Gate Records" with "House Music" (5 November)

Airwolf Paradise launches his independent label, West Gate Records, with its debut release “House Music”, out 5 November.

The release marks a new chapter for the Melbourne DJ and producer, who has spent over 15 years releasing music on some of dance music’s most respected labels, including Solomun’s ‘Diynamic Music’, Fatboy Slim’s ‘Southern Fried Records’, Patrick Topping’s ‘Trick’, Peggy Gou’s ‘Gudu Records’ and Ministry of Sound. His catalogue includes a UK Dance #1 and official remixes for Calvin Harris, Confidence Man and Proxy.

Named after Melbourne’s iconic West Gate Bridge, which connects the city to the western suburbs where Airwolf Paradise grew up, West Gate Records is the new home for his music. The label also plans to expand into releases from other artists and events in the near future.

“I don’t think I’ve been this excited in years! It feels like the right time to take a leap and do something I’ve wanted to do for so long. I’ve been lucky enough to release music on some of the best record labels in the world and be part of some incredible communities that have genuinely changed my life, and now I’m excited to have a label of my own and see where it all takes me. Hopefully, I can give that same lift to the next wave of artists coming through. What’s better than being able to share music you love? It’s gonna be so much fun,” says Airwolf Paradise.

The label launches with “House Music”, a track inspired by Airwolf Paradise’s rediscovery of the sounds of the ’90s, when house music, pop hooks and rap came together in an interesting and unexpected way.

“I remember writing the track in a hotel room somewhere. At the time, I was rediscovering a period in music during the ’90s when this interesting blend of rap, pop hooks and house music was all blending together. ‘House Music’ was inspired by all of that, and wanting to write something I could play in my sets. I’ve been playing it out for the past couple of years now, and it’s always so much fun to drop into a set!” adds Airwolf Paradise.

As Airwolf Paradise gears up for a busy final run of 2026, touring across Australia and North America, West Gate Records has plenty planned. A Melbourne launch party will be announced soon, with the label’s next single, again from Airwolf Paradise, scheduled for release in December. More music is set to follow in early 2027.

“House Music” by Airwolf Paradise is out 5 November via West Gate Records.
