Benjamin Rajani Releases Debut Album “Tá hvørt ljós líkist tær”
Today, Faroese singer-songwriter Benjamin Rajani is thrilled to release his debut album “Tá hvørt ljós líkist tær” (EN: “When Every Light Resembles You”), out via Tutl Records.
“Tá hvørt ljós líkist tær” features an intriguing mix of indie folk/singer-songwriter elements, as well as baroque pop string and horn arrangements reminiscent of The Beatles and The Beach Boys.
Writing about various aspects of love - the highs and the lows - as well as nostalgia for the simpler times of childhood and youth, this collaboration promises to highlight Benjamin’s emotive storytelling, offering listeners depth and intimacy.
As Benjamin gets to release his project to the world, he shares "I have worked on my debut album for four years and I am so excited to finally release it."

About Benjamin Rajani
Benjamin Rajani is a gifted Faroese singer/songwriter with a distinct flair for moving poetry and captivating melodies. His music is characterized by Nordic melancholy and is inspired by artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Sigur Rós. While studying for a psychology degree in England, Benjamin’s love for his native tongue, Faroese, started to grow. This wasreflected in his song writing, as he wrote more than 90 songs in Faroese during that time.
