Chaka Khan Announces New Album & Single ft. Snoop Dogg out today

The 11-time Grammy Award winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and 2026 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient today announces CHAKZILLA, a fearless new chapter in her legendary career, arriving September 18 via EarthSong Records and BMG.

A celebration of power, joy, love, resilience, and reinvention, CHAKZILLA finds Chaka Khan at the height of her creative freedom. Co-written by Chaka alongside Sia and Greg Kurstin, and produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Greg Kurstin, the album features special appearances from Sia, Snoop Dogg, and Lenny Kravitz. Both a triumphant return and a bold artistic statement, CHAKZILLA reaffirms Chaka Khan’s place as one of the most influential and enduring voices in modern music.

“This album is about joy. It’s about freedom. It’s about loving yourself, loving each other, and finding your power no matter where you are in life,” says Chaka Khan. “I’ve lived a lot of life since my last record, and I wanted these songs to celebrate that. This music is about being human, feelin’ good, and stepping into our power.”

The new single, “Boogie’s In My Soul” featuring Snoop Dogg, is an anthem co-written by Sia that captures the freedom and infectious energy at the heart and soul of summer vibes.

“There’s nothing you can do to ever erase this,” says Snoop. “It’s in your system, now let it get into your soul.”

The announcement follows the explosive success of the album’s title track, “Chakzilla,” which has already surpassed one million views on YouTube and ignited fans worldwide across social media.

Every song on CHAKZILLA was co-written by Chaka Khan, making it one of the most personal and creatively involved projects of her remarkable career. Across the album, she delivers the signature vocal fire, emotional honesty, and musical fearlessness that have defined her artistry throughout her life.

“Working with Chaka was a dream of mine,” says Sia. “She has one of the most distinct voices of our generation and also a wicked sense of humor. Oh how we laughed! She’s a one take wonder and I did my best to capture her vitality, spirit and depth. Chaka is one of one and Greg killed the production.”
