Friends In Paris release new single Solid

With the dust now beginning to settle after their chart topping monster collaboration with Belgium’s finest The Subs - ‘Close To Faith’, Friends In Paris are set to hit hard with this stealthy chunk of a track ’Solid’, the clue is definitely in the title. Listen to ‘Solid’ here.

Delivering a dirty slow motion punch from the first beat, seamlessly blended with a haunting ghostlike synth progression, it’s clear the duo mean business with this track. With its crunchy beats and fuzzy bassline, 'Solid’ seems to grab you vigorously by the ears with a twist of pitched vocals and a finger-pointing top line, then sets you adrift as the verse takes you to a floaty dreamlike state carried only by a soft soulful vocal and warm wobbly bass. There’s a real sense of emotion in the song that lets you know it wears its heart on its sleeve and with its indelible mantra-like chorus, the track certainly lives up to its name.

This is the 3rd single released by the international duo who still write from opposite sides of the globe with London bred singer Kris Buckle still situated in Western Australia and producer David Newtron aka Jeroen De Pessemier (The Subs frontman) having now returned from the UK’s capital to his homeland Belgium. The duo can’t wait to close this vast geographical void between them for some inspirational live shows!
