Holy Oker releases Volcura EP 

Holy Oker is the solo project of musician Greg Rhodes, a drummer from Vancouver Canada who now calls Los Angeles home. Greg sought to strip away the instrument that had always been his identity in order to find a new, yet to be known sound. This EP was born out of a musician without his safety net searching for a voice without the comfort of familiarity. The result is stripped back, bare, and without anything fancy to hide behind. These simple but powerful songs expose their raw message through minimal production and earnest lyrics.

Holy Oker explores themes of solitude, letting go and forgiveness while striking to find a balance and harmony between one’s old self and the always emerging new. It is the result of an artist peeling back his layers and moving beyond his comfort zone in order to break new ground. Holy Oker's debut is out now on Moodfamily.
