Julie Vera share new video & single "Lifeline"

Opelika, Alabama doesn't exactly scream "birthplace of the next great pop band", but for the young members of Jule Vera, their small hometown was instrumental in bringing them together. After meeting at a local summer band camp, front woman Ansley Newman and guitarist Jake Roland knew they had a special connection (the long-term couple is recently engaged!), and Ansley started singing with Jake and bassist Will Stacey. Shortly after, the three met Chase Haws (guitar) and Kyle Horvath (drums) and Jule Vera was born.

Weekday Records, a subsidiary of Sony, is excited to announce that they have signed Jule Vera as the first band to the newly minted label, and today released the video for their track "Lifeline". Recorded and produced by Frequency (known for his work with Misterwives, Eminem, Rhianna, Bebe Rexha and recently on The Hamilton Mixtape), the track is a carefully produced pop gem that's nothing if not infectious.

"Lifeline" was inspired by palm reading. It's said that each person has a lifeline on their palm that determines the course of their life. "We wrote the song around the idea of basing everything off of what you want in life and what makes you happy, rather than what your lifeline tells you," Ansley explains.
