Killing Suzy releases "Everybody dies, Darling!"
Founded 2010 in Cologne/Germany by Seb (keys) and Gerry (drums) - both members of the former German underground Dark Metal band Sun of Sadness. After a few months Ambra (vox) and Ralf (guitar) joined.
In 2014 Killing Suzy started to record the debut album in their own rehearsal room with the aim to sound as live as possible. No vocal doubling, nearly no guitar overdubs (ok, there are 3) and only 1 synthesizer. During the recordings Jens (from the German Black Metal band Beltez) joined the band and recorded the bass. 3 years, 3 pregnancies and 3 rehearsal rooms later the album is finally finished. “Everybody dies, darling!“ is a mixture between 90s Gothic Metal and modern Dark Rock: a lot of rocking guitars, pushing basses and fast drums combined with melodic/spheric keys and catchy vocals that range from very snotty to very fragile.
After a gig someone once said that Killing Suzy sounds like Within Temptation played by The Sex Pistols. "We don’t think that this is totally true, but it’s funny enough to tell."
