This week marks 5 years of lots of hands’ debut LP, mistake. Today, the Newcastle-upon-Tyne duo announce and release mistake (deluxe edition), which assembles a handful of rarities and b-sides collected from 2019 to 2021 alongside the album’s original tracklisting. The release follows a wave of virality to recently hit “mistake”; over the last 60 days, the track has accrued over 3.5 million streams, as well as 180,000 TikTok creations and over 150 million views on that platform alone. Alongside the digital deluxe, lots of hands announce mistake’s first-ever vinyl run, bringing the record onto Cherry Red Vinyl (shipping in October). The digital deluxe tracks — including standouts “11s door” and “mistake (slowed)” — will be physically released on a CD exclusively available to bundle with vinyl here.
mistake (deluxe edition) follows the release of into a pretty room — lots of hands’ Fire Tal;k debut released earlier this year to praise from Indiecast, NARC, So Young, No Expectations, Under the Radar and more — and precedes lots of hands’ forthcoming US Tour, which will see the duo make their stateside debut in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago and more.
