Loupe release vibrant EP "Flaws Of A Circle"

Amsterdam indie-alt-pop quartet Loupe release their vibrant new EP ‘Flaws Of A Circle’ today.

Riding a wave of critical acclaim following their UK headline tour, subsequent international radio play (BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, NPO, Deutschlandfunk Nova), tastemaker press support (Clash, C-Heads, Earmilk, Notion among others) and heavy support on Spotify and Apple Music editorials, the new EP offers more of the bands vibrant musicality.

Following up their appraised debut Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next?, the new EP builds further upon the same musical fundament while simultaneously exploring new creative paths. Their signature fine weave of indie rock stays central, but gets accompanied by groove- and R'n'b influences in Tested Waters and title track Flaws of a Circle. The massive, rocking Black Beauty Race is vocalist Nina’s personal narrative of being of mixed race and growing up between two worlds.

For Flaws of a Circle Loupe has again teamed up with producer Arne van Petegem Moss, Styrofoam) and mixer Beau Sorenson (Death Cab For Cutie, Sparklehorse).

The EP will be released on May 3rd via Excelsior and Sinnbus. Filled with intricate guitar riffs, thick bass and tight drums, the EP showcases mature musicality topped with haunting, vibrant, warming and compelling lead vocals.

The band explain:

"’My heart’s a wanna-be’. Flaws of a Circle as an EP is all about the tension between who you are and the expectations placed upon you, by yourself or others. About having insecurities, that can highlight your worst character flaws and make you question yourself over and over. But in the end, we all have such faults, and nobody is as perfect as a circle.”

Having built support across international press and radio including the likes of Clash Atwood Magazine, Earmilk, C-Heads, 1883, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio 1, Lock Magazine, Earmilk, De Kop, 3FM and 3voor12 the band have built a feverish hype as they build towards the release of the new album. With coverage across Editorial playlists on Apple Music and Spotify (appearing on a billboard in times square New York having made the cover of ‘Equal), the band have built a global presence and also earned the band a growing reputation as a stage act, having toured Europe, including a number of top festivals and tour supports for the likes of Porridge Radio, Lovejoy and Moss.
